Bodrum Municipality’s Turgutreis Marriage Registration Office is making it easier for residents of Turgutreis and surrounding neighbourhoods to complete marriage procedures without travelling to central Bodrum. The office, which began operating in April 2026, is based at Şevket Sabancı Culture and Arts Centre and works under the Marriage Services Unit of the Directorate of Administrative Affairs.

Couples can complete the full process in Turgutreis, including receiving pre-marriage information, submitting the required documents, making an application and completing official marriage procedures.

Marriage registrar Aydan Kumral Yümer said the Şevket Sabancı Marriage Hall had previously hosted ceremonies only, but since April all administrative procedures relating to marriage registration have also been available at the venue.

The service has been welcomed by residents, particularly those living in Turgutreis and nearby neighbourhoods, as it removes the need to travel to the central municipal office.

Bodrum Municipality said the service aims to make marriage registration more accessible and allow residents to complete municipal procedures closer to where they live.
