BODRUM MUNICIPALITY PROVIDES STATIONERY & SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT FOR 1,250 STUDENTS

Bodrum Municipality has launched an education support programme for 1,250 students ahead of the 2026–2027 academic year. The programme aims to support equal opportunities in education and ease the financial burden on families. As part of the support, stationery packages were distributed to 850 students, while 400 successful students will receive scholarship support for four years.
The application process, coordinated by the Social Services Office under the Culture, Arts and Social Affairs Directorate, ended on 31 July 2026. The support covers primary, secondary and high school students studying across the district.
Stationery packages were distributed at an event held at Herodot Cultural Centre. A total of 350 primary school students, 350 secondary school students and 150 high school students received the packages.
A 4 million TL scholarship fund has also been created for 400 successful students living within the borders of Bodrum. Students who qualify will benefit from the support for four years.
Annual scholarship amounts have been set at 9,000 TL for primary school students, 10,000 TL for secondary school students and 11,000 TL for high school students.
Speaking at the event, Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci said the municipality was pleased to support students and families before the start of the new academic year. Mandalinci said the municipality would continue to stand by children, young people and families through its social municipality approach, adding that support would be provided wherever needed. He thanked parents for their efforts and sacrifices, and wished all students a successful and positive academic year.
The event was attended by Mayor Mandalinci, deputy mayors, municipal council members, CHP Bodrum District Chair Ayşe Nurhan Fıratlı, Bodrum Neighbourhood Heads’ Association Chair Ahmet Cemil Gündüz and relevant municipal directors.
