The third installation of Bodrum Municipality’s “Gateway to the Blue” project has been placed in Yalıkavak.

The project, launched to highlight Bodrum’s natural and cultural values through aesthetic public-space installations, is continuing to expand across the district. Following the first two gateways in Kumbahçe and Turgutreis, the latest installation has been introduced near Yalıkavak Belediye Cafe. The project is being carried out under the coordination of the Support Services Directorate, in cooperation with the Women and Family Services Directorate and the Parks and Gardens Directorate.

The first gateway was installed on the Kumbahçe seafront, overlooking Bodrum Castle, while the second was placed on Gazi Mustafa Kemal Boulevard on the Turgutreis coast. The Yalıkavak gateway now offers a new viewing and photo point overlooking Yalıkavak Bay. The artwork on the gateway was created by young Bodrum artist Sebile Gündüz, adding a local artistic contribution to the project.

The gateways are produced by municipal staff in Bodrum Municipality’s own workshops, using the municipality’s own resources and handcraftsmanship. The project will continue in other parts of the district, with the fourth “Gateway to the Blue” planned for Bitez Neighbourhood.
