AGRO BODRUM ROUTE MADE MORE VISIBLE AND ACCESSIBLE

Signage and directional signs have been completed along the Agro Bodrum Route, making the district’s rural, agricultural and gastronomic destinations more visible and accessible.
The agro-tourism project is being carried out in cooperation with Bodrum Municipality, Bodrum Chamber of Commerce, Bodrum District Governor’s Office and TÜRSAB. The signage works at destinations along the route were completed with the support of Bodrum Chamber of Commerce.
Following the completion of the works, Deputy Mayor Ercan Pehlivan, Bodrum Chamber of Commerce Chair Mahmut Serdar Kocadon, Chamber Assembly Member Toros Demirdöven and Accommodation Committee Chair Yasemin Akpınar carried out a field visit along the route from Çiftlik Neighbourhood to Karaova.
The delegation visited olive oil factories, vineyards, carpet-weaving workshops, Garaova Agriculture Park and İsmail Hakkı Tonguç Agriculture School and Museum. During the visit, local production processes were reviewed on site, while steps to strengthen Bodrum as a year-round destination beyond sea, sand and sun tourism were discussed.
The delegation also received information on village life, traditional carpet weaving, organic farming and local seed initiatives. As part of the programme, the delegation met residents at a village cafe and listened to their requests and suggestions.
