THIRD TERM OF YOUTH AND AGRICULTURE CAMP COMPLETED IN BODRUM
09.08.2026
The third term of Bodrum Municipality’s Youth and Agriculture Camp has been completed at Garaova Agriculture Park.
The camp was organised to introduce young people to agricultural production and help them gain knowledge and practical experience in sustainable farming.
Participants from Bodrum, other districts of Muğla and different provinces across Türkiye took part in the programme, coordinated by the Agricultural Services Directorate. The camp began in the early morning with lavender harvesting. Training sessions and activities then focused on sustainable agriculture, local production and the protection of natural resources. Participants also visited production sites along the Agro Bodrum Route, which brings together local gastronomy, cultural heritage and rural life. During the visits, they observed production processes and received information directly from producers.
A certificate ceremony was held on the final day of the camp, attended by Deputy Mayor Ercan Pehlivan and Agricultural Services Director Sinem Uyar Kuyumcu. Bodrum Municipality said the Youth and Agriculture Camp would continue to offer young people opportunities to learn about farming, production and local values through hands-on experience.
