Bodrum Municipality has opened Pınaraltı Community Cafe in Çırkan Neighbourhood.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, deputy mayors, council members, neighbourhood heads, municipal officials, members of the press and residents.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Mandalinci said the municipality aimed to create safe, comfortable and affordable social spaces where retired residents could spend time.

Mandalinci said the cafe had been opened through the coordinated work of Bodrum Belediye AŞ, the Parks and Gardens Directorate, the Support Services Directorate, the Cleaning Affairs Directorate and the Directorate of Public Works.

The cafe will be open not only to retired residents, but also to workers, young people, women and children as a shared social space.

Pınaraltı Retirement Cafe will serve visitors from 14.00 to 22.00 on weekdays and Saturdays, and will be closed on Sundays. Two staff members will work at the cafe, where tea will be sold for 5 TL and coffee for 15 TL.

Bodrum Municipality said it would continue to develop services and projects for different sections of the community as part of its social municipality approach.
