Bodrum Municipality has signed an agreement to introduce an electric bike sharing system across the district.

The investment, operation and revenue-sharing agreement was signed between Bodrum Belediye AŞ and İnnova Bilişim, the information technologies company of the Türk Telekom Group. The ceremony was attended by Mayor Tamer Mandalinci and İnnova Bilişim GM Huzeyfe Yılmaz.

Under the agreement, 300 NovaBike electric smart bikes will be made available to residents and visitors through a rental system. The project aims to expand low-carbon transport options, reduce emissions and support more sustainable urban mobility in Bodrum.

Users will be able to rent bikes through the NovaBike mobile application and end their journeys at designated parking areas. The system will allow the location, battery level and use of the bikes to be monitored in real time.

The first 150 bikes will be delivered after the completion of permit and licensing procedures, with the remaining 150 to be added gradually within five months.

Following the signing ceremony, Mayor Mandalinci tested one of the electric bikes and said the system would contribute to Bodrum’s sustainable transport vision.
