25.07.2026
Bodrum Municipality has held in-service training sessions to strengthen staff capacity and improve digital skills.
The two-day programme was organised by Bodrum Municipality’s Human Resources and Training Directorate in cooperation with the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye. Municipal staff received training on internal control and corporate risk management, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in local government.
The sessions were delivered by public internal auditor and Union of Municipalities of Türkiye trainer Kadir Efe Oruç.
On the first day, staff were briefed on internal control systems, compliance with public internal control standards, preparation of internal control action plans and corporate risk management processes. A focus group session was also held with staff from the Financial Services Directorate to assess work plans, responsible units and implementation periods.
The second day focused on artificial intelligence in local government, with 69 staff members from different municipal departments taking part. The training covered the basic principles of artificial intelligence, its possible uses in municipal services, efficiency-focused applications, data analysis, content production and safe use in digital transformation processes.
The programme included both theoretical information and practical examples, helping staff consider how artificial intelligence tools can be integrated into daily work processes in an effective and responsible way.
Bodrum Municipality said it would continue training programmes to support professional development, strengthen digital competence and improve the quality and efficiency of services provided to residents.
