BODRUM MUNICIPALITY PROVIDES MEDICAL AND PATIENT TRANSFER SUPPORT
21.07.2026
Bodrum Municipality continues to provide health and patient transfer services for residents who are ill, disabled, wheelchair users or bedridden.
Operating under Bodrum Municipality’s Culture, Arts and Social Affairs Directorate, the Health Services Office provides various basic medical services at its centre in Müskebi Neighbourhood. These include prescribed injections, wound and burn dressings, and routine checks such as blood pressure, blood sugar, temperature and respiratory monitoring.
The centre also offers body analysis services with the support of a dietitian, including weight, body mass index and body fat measurements, together with personalised recommendations.
In the first six months of 2026, Health Services Office teams provided medical care to 1,610 patients, carried out body measurement follow-up for 590 residents and conducted hygiene inspections at 210 sanitary businesses.
During the same period, 567 patient transfers were carried out by ambulance and 923 transfers were made by accessible patient transport vehicles. The teams also supported death certificate and funeral transfer permit procedures when required.
The Health Services Office operates with two ambulances, one patient transport vehicle and two accessible patient transport vehicles. The service supports residents who are unable to reach hospital by their own means, as well as bedridden, disabled or wheelchair-using patients who need to return home after treatment.
