OVERNIGHT MAINTENANCE ON EMIN ANTER BOULEVARD
12.07.2026
Bodrum Municipality’s Parks and Recreation Areas Directorate is carrying out pruning, grass cutting and cleaning work on central reservations overnight to avoid disrupting heavy daytime traffic.
During the latest operation, teams worked along the central reservation from Yokuşbaşı neighbourhood to the police checkpoint in the Torba Kaynar area. A total of 150 staff and 23 vehicles took part in the operation.
The work began at midnight and continued until the early hours of the morning. Traffic and occupational safety measures were put in place, with vehicles directed through a single controlled lane.
Above-average rainfall has accelerated vegetation growth, requiring grass-cutting work to be repeated in several areas.
Bilgi added that maintenance work on central reservations was being scheduled overnight because of heavy daytime traffic and would continue in line with the Directorate’s programme.
Over the past three months, municipal teams have cleared and maintained 218,213 square metres of green space across the district. Grass and weed clearance has also been completed along 296,018 metres of roads and pavements.
The programme will continue throughout Bodrum to maintain green spaces and protect the town’s visual environment.
