BOOK FAIR BRINGS LITERATURE AND DIALOGUE TO TURGUTREİS

The Bodrum Book and Literature Fair, organised in partnership by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Bodrum Municipality and YAYDER, continues to welcome readers, writers and publishers at Turgutreis Atatürk Square until 15 July.
The fair features publishing house stands, book signings, author talks, children’s activities, poetry readings and literary events, bringing together nearly 45 Bodrum-based authors alongside writers from across Türkiye.
A highlight of the programme will take place on Friday, 10 July at 20.30 with a public talk on Gender Equality and Child Mental Health. The session will feature sociologist Aybüke Öztosun and clinical psychologist Seray İlter from Bodrum Municipality’s Women and Family Services Directorate, together with Prof. Dr Seher Akbaş, a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry.
The discussion will explore gender equality, the cycle of violence and child mental health, while highlighting the importance of equality, the impact of violence on individuals and society, and ways to support children’s psychological wellbeing.
The fair will continue until 15 July, offering visitors a varied programme of literary and cultural events at Turgutreis Atatürk Square.
