URBAN FURNITURE, LIGHTING AND INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS CONTINUE ACROSS BODRUM
Bodrum Municipality’s Support Services Directorate carried out extensive production, maintenance and repair works during the first six months of 2026, responding to a wide range of needs across the district.

As part of the works, 194 benches and 58 picnic tables were produced, maintained or repaired to improve the comfort of public social areas. In addition, 96 waste bins, 71 ashtrays and 49 wooden planters were produced and placed at locations where they were needed.

To support urban infrastructure, teams produced 78 drainage grate frames and carried out maintenance and repair works on 63 grates. Within the scope of electrical and lighting works, 98 lighting poles and 225 fixtures were installed, while 1,249 electrical maintenance and fault response operations were completed across the peninsula.

Work was also carried out to improve disaster and emergency announcement systems. Teams responded to faults in 264 announcement receiver units and installed 57 new units.

The painting and whitewashing unit cleaned unauthorised writing and paint from parks, public buildings and walls at 19 locations across the district, while 3,000 metres of kerbs were painted. Maintenance and renewal works were also completed on 14 automatic water dispensers used by stray animals.

Bodrum Municipality’s Support Services Directorate will continue production, maintenance and repair works in the second half of the year in line with the planned programme, aiming to make daily life across the district more orderly, functional and comfortable.
