BITEZ TO HOST FIRST OPEN-AIR CULTURE TALK OF THE SUMMER
Bodrum Municipality will launch its Open-Air Culture Talks this summer, organised by the Urban History and Leleg Civilisation Research and Practice Unit under the Culture, Arts and Social Affairs Directorate.

The first event will take place on Saturday, 11 July at 20.30 at Bitez Zefirya Culture and Arts Centre, under the theme “The Traces of History Meet Art at Sunset”. Set against the view of Bitez Bay, the programme will bring together history, art and nature in an open-air summer setting.

The free public event will feature a presentation by archaeologist Serap Topaloğlu from Bodrum Municipality, focusing on Bodrum’s historical development, cultural heritage and legacy from antiquity to the present day. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their views on the history of the region.

The artistic part of the programme will feature performances by dance artists Gözde Angel and Çiçek Akyürek, combining movement, music and storytelling through original choreography.

The Open-Air Culture Talks will continue throughout the summer with presentations and discussions by specialists in their fields. Through the programme, Bodrum Municipality aims to introduce the city’s history to wider audiences, strengthen awareness of cultural heritage and offer residents the opportunity to experience Bodrum’s past through different cultural disciplines.

All residents are invited to attend the events and experience Bodrum’s rich history as a living cultural encounter.
