PUBLIC AREAS CLEARED AS INSPECTIONS BEGIN ACROSS BODRUM
07.07.2026
Bodrum Municipality’s Municipal Police Department and Bodrum District Police Department began district-wide inspection and regulation works on Tuesday, 7 July.
The works aim to ensure that public areas across the district are used safely, orderly and in line with their intended purpose. On the first day, inspections were carried out on Atatürk, Neyzen Tevfik, Cafer Paşa and Turgutreis streets in central Bodrum; Atatürk Boulevard in Konacık; Kargı Street, Taşlıburun Street and Ercan Yangöz Street in Yahşi; and Adliye and Cumhuriyet streets in Bitez.
As part of the inspections, warnings were issued and some occupation materials were removed by their owners. Items that were not removed despite warnings, including tables, chairs, parasols, totems, advertising boards, barrels and planters, were collected by municipal teams and removed from the area to be taken into custody storage.
Penalties were also imposed on some motorcycle users for improper parking and pavement occupation.
Comprehensive inspection and regulation works continued across Bodrum throughout the day and are expected to continue on Wednesday, 8 July.
