BODRUM MUNICIPALITY GENERATES 106,500 KWH OF CLEAN SOLAR ENERGY

Bodrum Municipality continues to increase clean energy production through its renewable energy investments. In the first six months of 2026, the municipality generated approximately 106,500 kWh of electricity from its solar energy systems, contributing both to the environment and the municipal budget.
The renewable energy works are coordinated by Bodrum Municipality’s Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate under the slogan “Clean Energy, A Liveable Bodrum”.
Through the Solar Power Plant installed at Bitez Marketplace, the municipality has contributed to the reduction of approximately 58 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. This environmental benefit is estimated to be equivalent to the annual carbon sequestration capacity of around 2,760 trees.
In line with its goals of combating climate change and supporting sustainable urban management, Bodrum Municipality will continue its work to reduce its carbon footprint, improve energy efficiency and protect natural resources.
Through environmentally friendly projects, the municipality aims to leave a more liveable Bodrum for the future.
