DEMOLITION WORKS CONTINUE AGAINST UNAUTHORISED BUILDINGS IN BODRUM
30.06.2026
Bodrum Municipality continues its efforts against unauthorised construction, with a total of 53 illegal structures demolished across the district since the beginning of 2026.
From the start of the year until the end of May, municipal teams demolished 45 unauthorised structures, including 36 under Zoning Law No. 3194 and nine under Squatter Housing Law No. 775. In June, a further eight illegal structures were demolished under Zoning Law No. 3194, bringing the total number of demolitions carried out since the beginning of 2026 to 53.
The demolition works are being carried out in coordination by Bodrum Municipality’s Building Control Directorate and Directorate of Public Works. The latest operation took place at a residential site in Akyarlar Neighbourhood, where unauthorised extensions whose legal procedures had been completed were removed.
Demolition works are also continuing at four further addresses where the necessary legal processes have been finalised.
The municipal teams will continue demolition works against unauthorised structures across the district in line with the planned programme.
