JOINT ACTION AGAINST PUBLIC SPACE OBSTRUCTION AND VISUAL POLLUTION IN BODRUM
29.06.2026
Bodrum Municipality is launching a comprehensive district-wide initiative to remove unused items, materials and vehicles that occupy public spaces and create visual pollution in shared areas.
The work will be carried out in coordination between Bodrum Municipality’s Municipal Police Department and Bodrum District Police Department. As part of the initiative, unused items, materials and vehicles found in shared public spaces such as squares, streets, pavements and parks will be removed where they obstruct public use or create visual pollution.
Residents are requested to remove any personal belongings, unused materials or discarded items occupying shared public areas by Tuesday, 7 July. After this date, materials deemed abandoned, unattended or left in public spaces will be removed by the relevant teams.
The initiative aims to create a cleaner, more orderly and more liveable Bodrum. Residents are asked to show sensitivity towards the shared use of public spaces and to support the work being carried out.
Commenting on the initiative, Mayor Tamer Mandalinci stated that public cooperation is of great importance in protecting urban order and making shared spaces safer, cleaner and more orderly. Mayor Mandalinci called on residents to remove personal items that occupy public areas or cause visual pollution within the specified period.
