26.06.2026
Bodrum Municipality has completed road renewal works on Bergamut Street in Bitez Neighbourhood and Derviş Görgün Street in Umurca Neighbourhood as part of its ongoing maintenance and improvement programme across the district.
Following infrastructure works carried out by different institutions over a period of approximately four months, Bodrum Municipality’s Directorate of Public Works completed asphalt paving, pavement and kerb arrangements, lighting works and road marking applications on the two streets.
On Bergamut Street, hot asphalt paving, pavement and kerb works, and lighting arrangements were completed before final road markings were applied, giving the street a safer and more modern appearance.
In Umurca Neighbourhood, works on Derviş Görgün Street were also finalised with the application of the wearing course asphalt layer. Road markings were then completed by the Traffic Services Branch Directorate of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality’s Department of Transportation, improving both road safety and driving comfort.
Bodrum Municipality’s road improvement programme is continuing in other parts of the district. Teams have also carried out asphalt paving with a finisher on Bekiroğlu Street, 2605 Street and connecting roads in Müskebi Neighbourhood. With the completion of works on the sections of Bekiroğlu Street located in both Konacık and Müskebi, the street has now been asphalted from end to end. Road marking and final superstructure arrangements in the area will be completed as part of the ongoing programme.
Mayor Tamer Mandalinci stated that the municipality is closely following the works carried out across the district and said:
“Road renewal works continue on streets where infrastructure works have been completed by different institutions. The aim is to create a safer, more modern Bodrum with resolved infrastructure issues and improved superstructure. These works will continue without interruption.”
