19.06.2026
Bodrum Municipality has renewed public toilet facilities and created new service areas as part of its ongoing improvement works across the district, making them available for residents and visitors.
Following requests conveyed by residents during the field visits of Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, work was launched on the renewal of the public toilet located next to the taxi rank in Gümüşlük Neighbourhood, upon the instruction of Mayor Mandalinci. As part of the works carried out jointly by the Support Services Directorate and the Cleaning Affairs Directorate, the existing structure was removed and replaced with a new-generation modern container toilet unit with an enclosed area of 21 square metres. The four-section facility, consisting of women’s, men’s and accessible toilets as well as a baby changing room, has been opened for public use.
In Kumbahçe Neighbourhood, at the Halikarnas Pier area, a public toilet service has been introduced for the first time in response to a need raised by residents during Mayor Mandalinci’s field inspections. The facility was installed on the instruction of Mayor Mandalinci through the joint work of the Support Services Directorate and the Cleaning Affairs Directorate.
The modern and accessible toilet facilities include measures designed to improve hygiene standards. Information visuals placed as part of the “Clean Toilet Movement” aim to raise awareness about the proper and clean use of shared public spaces.
Bodrum Municipality will continue its work to meet the needs of residents and visitors across the district, while carrying out the planned installation of new public toilets at identified high-use locations throughout Bodrum.
