Seabed Clean-Up Continues in Yahşi
The fourth stage of Bodrum Municipality’s long-running seabed clean-up campaign was carried out in Yahşi.
Organised by the Directorate of Support Services and the Directorate of Cleaning Services under the slogan “Nothing Suits the Sea Better Than Blue”, the event was held to draw attention to environmental pollution and the protection of marine areas.
The clean-up was attended by Municipal Council Member Deniz Koca, while a volunteer diving team made up of municipal personnel removed 250 kilograms of waste from the sea.
The waste collected was displayed on Yahşi beach to raise public awareness before being transferred to the Category 1 Waste Collection Centre in Konacık neighbourhood.
The seabed clean-up campaign shall continue in Akyarlar neighbourhood on Wednesday 10 June.
