BODRUM ADVANCES FINAL PRE-SEASON WORKS AT 68 PUBLIC BEACHES

Bodrum Municipality is nearing completion of its pre-season works at public beaches across the district.
Teams from the Blue Flag Beaches Unit under the Directorate of Support Services have completed preparations at many sites, including the Bodrum Sailing Blue Flag Public Beach, Kumbahçe Blue Flag Public Beach, Gümbet Blue Flag Public Beach, Bitez Blue Flag Public Beach, Ortakent Sailing Public Beach, Karaincir Tuzla Public Beach, Karaincir Public Beach, Akçabük Public Beach, Turgutreis Sunset Public Beach, Gümüşlük Çukurbük Public Beach, Gümüşlük Koyunbaba Public Beach, Yalıkavak Erdemil Public Beach, Yalıkavak Monakus Public Beach, Gündoğan Blue Flag Public Beach, Türkbükü Blue Flag Public Beach, Gölköy Blue Flag Public Beach and Yalıçiftlik Blue Flag Public Beach.
In Türkbükü neighbourhood, a new public beach has also been opened for public use by Bodrum Municipality in place of illegally built piers that were demolished.
To meet equipment needs at the beaches, the municipality has so far installed 1,591 parasols and 555 sun loungers. Before the start of the season, the number of sun loungers is expected to rise to 1,750. In addition, 2,091 buoys have been placed in the sea to create safe swimming lanes and improve safety in bathing areas.
Works continue without interruption at a total of 68 public beaches across Bodrum, including nine Blue Flag beaches, in line with the planned programme.
