Bodrum Municipality continues work under its Accessible Support Project, launched on 25 March 2026 by the Directorate of Support Services to improve the quality of life of disabled residents across the district.

Under the scheme, essential home maintenance, repair and technical support services are provided free of charge to residents in need. Since the project began, 39 disabled residents have been visited at home and detailed assessments have been carried out. Based on these site inspections, work has started on electrical repairs, plumbing, minor refurbishment and maintenance in line with a planned schedule.

The project gives priority to residents who are unable to meet repair costs because of financial hardship and who hold a disability health report of 40 per cent or above. The aim is to help disadvantaged residents live in homes that are safer, more accessible and more comfortable. In households identified under social assistance criteria, municipal teams are carrying out a range of works, from door and window repairs to minor painting jobs.

Commenting on the project, Mayor Tamer Mandalinci said the municipality was acting in line with a social municipal approach and working to ensure that no resident in Bodrum feels left alone. He said the project removes physical barriers in the homes of disabled residents and supports safer, more peaceful living conditions, while also helping people to participate more actively in social life.

Bodrum Municipality said maintenance and repair works carried out by the Directorate of Support Services would continue across the district in line with the established plan.
