Mayor Tamer Mandalinci carried out inspections in several neighbourhoods during a two-day field programme, reviewing ongoing works on site and listening to residents’ requests and suggestions.

Joined by deputy mayors, department directors and neighbourhood heads, Mayor Mandalinci began the programme at the Farilya Neighbourhood Head’s Office. During the visit, he reviewed a range of local issues, from infrastructure and environmental arrangements to requests from shopkeepers and other neighbourhood needs.

Following the visit to the neighbourhood office, Mandalinci went on to the 112 Emergency Health Services Station, which has recently begun operating in Farilya, where he received information from officials on current operations.

As part of the programme, works being carried out by MUSKİ on Kızılburun Street and İnönü Street were also inspected. The latest stage of the ongoing coastal improvement works in Gündoğan and Küçükbük was reviewed, while planned projects under the Gündoğan Recreation Area scheme, including a car park, square and children’s playground, were also assessed on site.

New Planning Process in Gölköy

On the second day of the programme, Mayor Mandalinci continued his site visits in Gölköy neighbourhood. After inspections at Gölköy Beach Café, he said a new planning process had been launched for the area.

During the visit, he also met local traders and residents to hear their requests and suggestions, and instructed the relevant deputy mayors and department directors to address identified shortcomings.

Emphasising the importance of on-site work, Mayor Mandalinci said: “The most accurate assessment is made in the field. We will continue to govern Bodrum not from behind a desk, but from the field by listening to you.”
