BODRUM RELAUNCHES DISTRICT-WIDE CLEAN-UP CAMPAIGN
17.04.2026
Bodrum Municipality has restarted its district-wide Clean-Up Campaign, first launched in 2024 under the leadership of Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, with the aim of protecting the environment and strengthening public awareness across the town.
The latest phase of the campaign began on Thursday 16 April, bringing together more than 1,000 municipal employees, local residents, volunteers, neighbourhood heads, municipal council members and representatives from both Bodrum Municipality and Muğla Metropolitan Municipality. Cleaning works were carried out in streets and avenues across 28 locations in different neighbourhoods.
Organised under the slogan “We Will Clean Together, We Will Protect Together”, the programme has been planned to cover all neighbourhoods in Bodrum.
Commenting on the campaign, Mayor Mandalinci said the first clean-up mobilisation of 2026 had been completed with strong participation and solidarity under the coordination of the Directorate of Cleaning Services. He said the work formed an important part of the municipality’s goal of creating an environment worthy of Bodrum.
Mayor Mandalinci also invited residents to take part in the second phase of the campaign ahead of Eid al-Adha, saying collective action would help create a cleaner, healthier and more liveable town.
