WOMEN IN MUMCULAR CONTINUE TO STRENGTHEN LOCAL PARTICIPATION

Established under the project “Women from Bodrum to Türkiye Are Creating an Equal and Violence-Free City with the slogan The Floor is Mine!”, the women’s neighbourhood assemblies continue to ensure that women have a voice in the governance of the city.
At a women’s gathering organised by the Mumcular Women’s Neighbourhood Assembly under the coordination of Bodrum Municipality’s Directorate of Women and Family Services, the representatives who will serve in the new term were selected.
The meeting, held in Mumcular neighbourhood under the leadership of Bodrum Women’s Solidarity Association Representative Figan Erozan and officials from Bodrum Municipality’s Directorate of Women and Family Services, brought together 60 women from Mumcular and surrounding neighbourhoods.
Field Resolution personnel from Bodrum Municipality’s Directorate of Press, Publicity and Public Relations also attended the meeting. During the programme, the participants’ requests, demands and proposed solutions were recorded.
For the new term, Ayşegül Aşık, Emine Akbaş, Gülşen Tan, Mine Çelik and Şeyma Korkmaz were appointed as representatives to carry out the work of the women’s assembly.
