NEW SPORTS FACILITY OPENS IN ÇIFTLİK WITH COMMUNITY SUPPORT

The Çiftlik Sports Facility, completed by Bodrum Municipality with support from local donors, has officially opened for public use.
The opening ceremony in Çiftlik neighbourhood was attended by Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, deputy mayors, municipal council members, department directors, Çiftlik Neighbourhood Head Hasan Kocaman, local donors, sports clubs, athletes, members of the press and local residents.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hasan Kocaman said the facility had been delivered in response to requests from young people in the neighbourhood and thanked Bodrum Municipality and the donors who supported the project.
Mayor Tamer Mandalinci said the new facility would serve children, young people and local residents, noting that it includes both a football pitch and outdoor exercise equipment. He added that the municipality would continue to deliver needed services across Bodrum’s neighbourhoods.
Following the speeches, plaques were presented to the donors and the neighbourhood head. The ceremony concluded with a ribbon-cutting, after which the first match was played on the new pitch by Mayor Mandalinci, municipal representatives and young athletes.
As part of the event, cotton candy was offered to children and lokma was distributed to participants.
