BODRUM MUNICIPALITY WORKSHOPS MEET LOCAL NEEDS ACROSS THE DISTRICT
29.03.2026
Bodrum Municipality’s Workshops Department, operating under the Support Services Directorate, continues to produce a wide range of items to meet local needs across the district.
Items produced at the municipality’s joinery, metalwork and paint workshops at the Yalıkavak municipal operations depot are distributed for use across Bodrum following local needs assessments. Municipal teams within the Workshops Unit produce a variety of urban furniture for public spaces and public institutions, including picnic tables, benches, litter bins, office desks and storage units.
Over the past two weeks, the teams have produced 21 benches and 15 picnic tables, which have since been installed in areas where they were needed. The workshops unit also carries out work in parks and recreational areas to help make public spaces more comfortable and visually appealing. In recent weeks, the teams also produced 140 metres of fencing for use at Muhtar Mehmet Satılmış Park in Turgutreis.
Skilled Craftsmanship Contributing to Urban Design
The workshops, which also carry out decorative work that contributes to the visual quality of the town, place emphasis on the efficient use of municipal resources.
Production is shaped both by Bodrum’s practical needs and by requests received from neighbourhood administrative offices and other public authorities, enabling the municipality to respond quickly and effectively while improving the functionality and appearance of social and public amenities across the district.
In a statement on the ongoing work, the municipality underlined the high level of labour and craftsmanship involved at every stage of production, adding that efforts to create a more attractive Bodrum remain among its key priorities.
