16.03.2026
Bodrum Municipality’s Culture and Nature Walks continued on the Kışladağ route with an event organised by the City History and Leleg Civilisation Research and Implementation Unit under the Directorate of Culture, Arts and Social Affairs.
Held under the theme “Discover Archaeology on Our Route, Experience Culture, Share Your Story”, the event brought together those with an interest in walking, nature and archaeology.
Around 200 people joined the walk, which took place in the hills above Kumbahçe, an area bearing traces of the lives of Bodrum’s earliest inhabitants. Participants were able to enjoy the striking landscape while also gaining first-hand insight into the area’s history and cultural heritage.
Throughout the walk, information on the settlement remains and the surrounding natural landscape was shared by municipal archaeologist Serap Topaloğlu.
Covering a route of around 3 kilometres, the event concluded as an engaging day in which nature, history and culture were experienced together.
