SURFACE WORKS ACCELERATE AS INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS ARE COMPLETED

Bodrum Municipality has begun surface works on streets where infrastructure projects carried out by other agencies have been completed.  Mayor Tamer Mandalinci said the municipality is focusing on long-term, integrated schemes.


Bergamut Avenue

On Bergamut Avenue in the Bitez neighbourhood, following water-line renewal by MUSKİ and the completion of works by Aydem, Telekom and Superonline, Public Works Directorate teams started surface works to provide a consistent finish. Road removal has begun between the Zakkum Avenue and Pınarlı Avenue junctions, to be followed by hot asphalt laying and pavement arrangements.

Gökpınar–Yeniköy Road

Culvert and bridge works on the road between Gökpınar and the Yeniköy neighbourhood have been completed, with the aim of reducing risks during rainy weather.

Post-flood repairs and drainage

After recent heavy rainfall, teams carried out maintenance, repair and renewal of rainwater lines and drainage grates on Mersinli Avenue and Şah Avenue in the Bitez neighbourhood, on 4349 Street in the Akyarlar neighbourhood, and on 6065 Street and 6078 Street in the Yalıkavak neighbourhood. Following flooding in the Kızılağaç neighbourhood, concrete road works were completed on Palalılar Street. Drainage works were also carried out with Muğla Metropolitan Municipality in Çukurbük in the Koyunbaba neighbourhood.

Asphalt Works

Asphalt laying has been completed on Generler Avenue and Kocaköseler Street in the Çiftlik neighbourhood. Further asphalt and patch-repair works will continue across Bodrum in line with the work programme.
