Bodrum Municipality brought children together for a free cinema event during the half-term break, offering students the opportunity to enjoy a day out with their mothers and friends.

Organised by the Directorate of Women and Family Services and hosted by Cinemarine Bodrum, the screening was attended by Year 1–4 pupils from Pınarlıbelen Nilgün–Dr Kerim Cangır Primary School and their mothers. A total of 80 pupils and parents were transported from Pınarlıbelen to the cinema in municipal vehicles, where they watched the animated film “Masha and the Bear: Miracle Park”.

After the screening, students said they enjoyed the film, laughed a lot and were pleased to spend time with their friends. Parents noted that it can be difficult to find activities for children during the school holiday and thanked Bodrum Municipality for organising the event.

Bodrum Municipality also thanked Cenk Sezgin, Chair of Cinemarine’s Board and Honorary Chair of the Cinema Hall Investors Association (SİSAY), for supporting the initiative. Gözde Çakıroğlu, Head of the Directorate of Women and Family Services, stated that the aim of such activities is to support children’s social and cultural development and help families create positive shared memories, adding that similar events will continue.
