BODRUM MUNICIPALITY CARRIES OUT CITYWIDE MAINTENANCE AND URBAN AESTHETICS WORKS
08.01.2026
Bodrum Municipality’s Support Services Directorate has completed a year-long programme of maintenance, repair and in-house production works in 2025, contributing both to the city’s visual character and the uninterrupted delivery of municipal services.
The municipality stated the works were carried out to protect Bodrum’s urban aesthetics and to improve residents’ quality of life, with teams operating at full capacity throughout the year.
Technical Infrastructure & Lighting
Municipal teams responded promptly to electrical faults across the district and carried out regular maintenance and repairs to street lighting. Public announcement systems were also inspected and maintained to ensure municipal notices could be delivered without interruption.
Local Production & Maintenance of Urban Furniture
Wooden urban furniture—including benches, seating units, picnic tables and litter bins—was produced in-house by municipal teams. Existing furniture was also repaired and refurbished, extending its service life and reducing replacement costs.
Safer & More Functional Public Spaces
To enhance public safety, damaged drainage grates were repaired and reinforced through welding and strengthening works. Maintenance and restoration were also carried out on busts and monuments across the city.
Municipal Vehicle Fleet Kept Operational
Routine servicing and maintenance of municipal vehicles were carried out without delay, ensuring field operations continued smoothly and minimising the risk of service disruptions.
Cleaner & More Orderly Urban Environment
In response to residents’ requests, graffiti and unauthorised wall markings causing visual pollution were removed. Painting and surface renewal works were also undertaken to preserve the city’s orderly and well-maintained appearance.
Municipal officials said maintenance and repair works will continue throughout 2026, with the aim of creating more comfortable and well-functioning living spaces across Bodrum.
