07.01.2026
Mayor Tamer Mandalinci has continued his programme of on-site neighbourhood visits, with the latest stops taking place in Akçaalan, Gürece and Gündoğan.
The visits were attended by deputy mayors, municipal council members, relevant department heads, the Head of the Bodrum Muhtars Union Association and local neighbourhood heads. During the programme, residents’ requests and suggestions were reviewed directly on site, and planned municipal projects were assessed in the field.
In Akçaalan, Mayor Mandalinci met with neighbourhood head Cumhur Bayırlı at the muhtarlık office, where issues raised by residents were discussed. The Mayor then carried out inspections at the multi-purpose hall, the local market area and planned park sites ahead of scheduled renovation and improvement works.
In Gürece, Mayor Mandalinci met neighbourhood head Mehmet Özsavran and examined potential locations for a planned health cabin. Inspections were also carried out at two children’s playgrounds following requests from residents, with instructions given for necessary maintenance and renewal works. Possible locations for a public transport stop were also assessed.
In Gündoğan, the Mayor conducted shoreline inspections together with neighbourhood head Ali İneci, reviewing planned projects for the area. Meetings were subsequently held with relevant stakeholders to evaluate next steps.
Mayor Mandalinci said the visits aim to ensure faster and more effective solutions by listening to residents on site, adding that neighbourhood inspections will continue as part of the municipality’s commitment to a more liveable and sustainable city.
