BODRUM HOLDS FINAL NEIGHBOURHOOD HEADS’ MEETING OF 2025

Bodrum Municipality held its final neighbourhood heads’ (muhtars) meeting of 2025 at the Herodotus Culture Centre, chaired by Mayor Tamer Mandalinci. The meeting reviewed municipal work delivered during 2025 and outlined priorities for 2026.

Organised by the municipality’s Mukhtars Affairs Directorate, the meeting brought together representatives from Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, as well as officials from MUSKİ, AYDEM and Türk Telekom. Deputy mayors, department heads, council members and neighbourhood heads also attended.

During the session, muhtars raised requests and proposals covering infrastructure and road works, cleaning services, action against illegal construction, the status of local markets and environmental and streetscape arrangements. Mayor Mandalinci said the issues raised were recorded and that instructions were given to the relevant departments to address them.

The Head of the Bodrum Muhtars Union Association, Ahmet Cemil Gündüz, thanked those involved in municipal service delivery.

In his remarks, Mayor Mandalinci emphasised cooperation and accessibility between the municipality and neighbourhood heads, stating that the municipality had worked throughout 2025 to respond to demands from muhtars, residents and council members. Mandalinci added that 2026 would be a year in which the municipality would operate “more effectively on the ground” and with increased momentum.
