INSPECTIONS EXPANDED AHEAD OF NEW YEAR’S EVE IN BODRUM
30.12.2025
Bodrum Municipality’s Municipal Police (Zabıta) Department says it is continuing district-wide food and hygiene inspections as part of efforts to protect public health.
The municipality said the expanded inspection programme began in November and covers a range of checks, from food safety to general cleanliness standards.
550 Businesses Inspected
So far, inspections have been carried out at 550 businesses, examining general hygiene conditions, price lists, the compliance of exhaust/flue systems, pest-control schedules, and licensing status.
Following the checks, 195 businesses received formal warnings for deficiencies found to be in breach of regulations, while 108 businesses were issued with administrative penalties. The municipality said follow-up inspections for businesses with outstanding issues are continuing.
Additional Measures for New Year’s Eve
Bodrum Municipality stated that inspection activity will be intensified during New Year’s Eve, with increased checks throughout the night in streets and venues expected to be particularly busy.
