TRAFFIC-RELIEF PROJECTS IMPLEMENTED ACROSS BODRUM
19.12.2025
Bodrum Municipality continues to implement traffic-relief projects alongside road renewal works across the district
Municipal Department of Public Works teams have launched a new junction project at the intersection of Cumhuriyet Avenue and Düzalan Avenue in Müskebi, an area where traffic congestion has frequently occurred. Works that began in November are nearing completion following asphalt paving.
Inspecting the site, Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci stated that the redesigned junction improves safety both for vehicles entering Cumhuriyet Avenue from Düzalan Avenue and for drivers making U-turns. Landscaping works and the installation of a mandarin sculpture will complete the project.
Asphalt Works to Continue
Mayor Mandalinci also announced that asphalt works will continue in Bitez, including Bergamut Avenue, where infrastructure works by MUSKİ, AYDEM and Telekom have been completed. Approximately 1,500 tonnes of hot asphalt will be laid in the area as part of the programme.
New Roads to Ease Traffic Load
In Müskebi, the Mayor also inspected ongoing road-opening works that will connect Bekiroğlu Avenue and Müderris Avenue. The project aims to reduce traffic pressure on the D330 highway by diverting vehicles to secondary roads. The 550-metre section beyond Müderris Avenue will also be widened and resurfaced with hot asphalt.
The works are expected to be completed within one week, with municipal teams continuing operations according to the planned schedule.
