Bodrum Municipality continues to provide medical equipment support to residents in need through the Health Services Office operating under the Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs. The service covers the entire peninsula and focuses on citizens who require assistive medical equipment to support daily life and care needs.

Health Services teams assess applications from residents living within the district, particularly those who are bedridden, use wheelchairs, or require medical aids on a long-term basis. Following the review of the required documentation, medical equipment is delivered to eligible residents on a rotating basis and free of charge.

Within the framework of the municipality’s social-care approach, the Health Services Office supplies equipment such as hospital beds, manual wheelchairs, commode chairs, walkers and crutches. The service aims to ease daily life for patients and caregivers while ensuring fair access to essential medical support.

Support Reaches 510 Residents in 2025

As part of the programme, a total of 510 residents received medical equipment support in 2025. This included 195 hospital beds, 128 wheelchairs, 77 walkers, 65 crutches and 45 commode chairs.

Municipal officials stated that medical support services will continue in line with identified needs. Residents seeking further information or wishing to apply for assistance may contact the municipal call centre or the Health Services Office directly.
