Bodrum Municipality continues surface road improvement works on streets where underground infrastructure has been completed by other public institutions. Most recently, teams from the Directorate of Public Works carried out hot asphalt works in the Yokuşbaşı neighbourhood.

Following the completion of infrastructure works by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality’s water authority (MUSKİ) and electricity provider AYDEM, and with suitable weather conditions after the end of the tourism season, Bodrum Municipality began surface improvement works on 3159th Street and Hale Street in Yokuşbaşı.

Mayor Tamer Mandalinci inspected the works on site, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Ahmet Yıldızhan, Yokuşbaşı Neighbourhood Head Ersen Ünyay, and relevant municipal directors. Speaking during the visit, Mayor Mandalinci outlined the scope of the project:

“After the infrastructure works carried out by MUSKİ and the lighting works by AYDEM, we completed a 150-metre rainwater line, laid approximately 850 tonnes of hot asphalt, and have now reached the final stage on a 450-metre stretch of road.”

Focus on Safety and Long-Term Service Quality

Thanking MUSKİ and AYDEM for their coordination, Mayor Mandalinci said that once the asphalt works are completed, the area will be finalised with road markings, pavements, safety railings and landscaping.

“Our work will continue throughout the winter months,” he said. “We remain fully committed to our duty, working without pause to deliver safer roads and stronger infrastructure services across Bodrum.”

Local tradespeople and residents expressed their appreciation to the mayor and municipal teams for the improvements carried out in the neighbourhood.
