BODRUM MUNICIPALITY EXPANDS SOCIAL SUPPORT ACROSS THE DISTRICT

Bodrum Municipality is maintaining its social support efforts across the peninsula, with the Social Services Office under the Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs, which continues to assist residents in need, particularly disadvantaged individuals and families.

Operating in line with the municipality’s social-care approach, Social Services teams carry out their work district-wide with a focus on direct contact and needs-based support. Over the course of the year, applications from 3,150 residents were received, while 2,050 individuals were reached through household visits and face-to-face consultations.

In 2025, the Social Services Office distributed 3,750 social support cards providing food assistance. In addition to various in-kind aid programmes, support was also provided in the form of baby diapers, infant formula and adult care products.

The municipality has also continued its educational support initiatives. During the year, 1,150 students received stationery packages, while 468 students were supported through education grants.

Covering a wide range of services —from household visits to educational assistance— the Social Services Office announced that its programmes will continue without interruption in 2026. Residents seeking support or further information can contact the municipal call centre or the Social Services Office directly.
