BODRUM HOLDS NEIGHBOURHOOD MEETING FOR “15-MINUTE CITIES” PILOT PROJECT

Bodrum Municipality briefed residents on planned street, pedestrian and mobility improvements under the 15-Minute Cities Project


Bodrum Municipality held a neighbourhood meeting on 27 November at the Şevket Sabancı Culture and Arts Centre as part of its “15-Minute Cities” Project. The session focused on the pilot area covering Karcı Street and surrounding roads, where planned pedestrian, street and mobility improvements were shared with residents and local business owners.

Led by the Directorate of Climate Change and Zero Waste, the meeting included presentations on project objectives, the current stage of work and the next steps. Officials emphasised goals such as improving pedestrian safety, increasing accessibility, activating public spaces and enhancing neighbourhood quality of life.

Residents participated actively, offering suggestions, raising questions and discussing expectations, reflecting the municipality’s commitment to participatory governance.

Bodrum Municipality stated that it will continue to provide regular updates on the project’s schedule and implementation process.
