Bodrum Municipality has begun the second phase of improvement works on Yalıkavak’s Beach Street, with Mayor Tamer Mandalinci inspecting progress on site. The Civil Works Directorate has accelerated projects following the end of the tourism season, aiming to complete large sections before summer 2025.

The first phase, completed in May, renewed 240 metres of the street with upgraded infrastructure and cube stone paving. The second phase covers 3,000 square metres of begonite paving, and the total upgraded area along the beach Street (plaj caddesi) and its connecting side roads will reach 12,500 square metres.

Mayor Mandalinci announced that a third phase will extend the renewal works to Küdür, bringing landscaped areas, playgrounds, walkways and rainwater improvements along the entire route by next summer. Yalıkavak Neighbourhood Head Ali Çınar welcomed the project, noting that the new paving significantly enhances the area’s appearance.

The mayor also visited the Public Works construction site and the nearly completed Yalıkavak Marketplace, accompanied by municipal officials and community representatives.
