A five-hour fundraising event in Bodrum gathered ₺12 million for the treatment of young DMD patient Eymen Özdoğan

A large fundraising event held at the Nurol Cultural Centre on 13 November brought in nearly ₺12 million for the treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) patient Eymen Özdoğan. The night attracted widespread participation from across Muğla, including volunteers, public officials, civil society representatives and local residents.

Hosted by Onur Gülen, the campaign was led on stage by Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras and Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, who announced donations throughout the night and encouraged further support. The event lasted nearly five hours and was broadcast live on several Instagram accounts, enabling viewers outside the venue to contribute.

Mayor Mandalinci thanked donors for their solidarity and noted that new events, including an upcoming auction, would continue to support Eymen’s treatment. Mayor Aras emphasised Muğla’s unity, stating that efforts would continue until the full amount needed for Eymen’s medical care is achieved.

The charity night mobilised communities across the region, providing renewed hope for Eymen and his family.
