BODRUM MUNICIPALITY CONTINUES EFFORTS TO PRESERVE URBAN AESTHETICS

Municipal teams have cleared 29 instances of wall writing in the last six months to maintain a clean and orderly cityscape

Bodrum Municipality continues its efforts to protect the city’s visual integrity by removing graffiti, markings and unauthorised artwork from public spaces. The Directorate for Support Services, working through its Painting and Renovation Department, regularly cleans and repaints areas such as parks, walls and public buildings.

Over the last six months, municipal teams have removed 29 wall writings, restoring these surfaces to a clean and orderly condition. The work supports the municipality’s goal of maintaining a more aesthetic and sustainable urban environment.

Mayor Tamer Mandalinci called on residents to avoid writing or painting on public property, emphasising that such actions damage communal assets and disrupt the city’s appearance. He highlighted the importance of protecting Bodrum’s visual character and encouraged collective responsibility in maintaining the environment.

The municipality stated that teams will continue their efforts without interruption to ensure a cleaner and more liveable city.
