Bodrum Municipality continues its road maintenance and renewal works across the district to improve infrastructure and transport safety

The Directorate of Public Works recently launched concrete road construction on 4286th and 4291st Streets in Akyarlar Neighbourhood.

Mayor Mandalinci Inspects Works On Site

Mayor Tamer Mandalinci visited the area to review the ongoing works and stated:

“Residents’ opinions are essential to us. We identify priorities on site and address the most urgent needs. The steep slope here was causing difficulties; the municipal teams have regraded the ground and are completing concrete surfacing to ensure safer access. This is a solution shaped by local feedback. We’ll keep improving our city’s comfort and safety.”

A Safer and More Accessible Akyarlar

Covering 700 metres in length and 7 metres in width, the new road aims to eliminate issues caused by steep gradients and provide safer, more comfortable transportation.

Once completed, the project will significantly improve accessibility for Akyarlar residents and visitors.

Direct Engagement with Citizens

As part of his regular field visits, Mayor Mandalinci met with Neighbourhood Head İsmihan Ulutaş, local business owners, and residents to hear their views.

“Akyarlar reflects Bodrum’s community spirit,” said Mandalinci. “We will continue to raise the quality of life in every neighbourhood through direct engagement and continuous improvement.”
