Mayor Tamer Mandalinci continues his on-site inspections and meetings with residents across the city, maintaining close contact with citizens and local businesses
On 4 November, Mayor Mandalinci visited Eskiçeşme, followed by Umurca on 5 November. The visits began at the neighbourhood offices, accompanied by deputy mayors, department directors, municipal council members, MUSKİ officials and Ahmet Cemil Gündüz, Chairman of the Bodrum Neighbourhood Association and Head of Cumhuriyet Neighbourhood.
Issues Addressed on Site
During the Eskiçeşme visit, Neighbourhood Head Gözde Sinop conveyed residents’ requests and concerns. Mayor Mandalinci inspected key areas of the neighbourhood, focusing on infrastructure, road works and environmental improvements, and exchanged views with local shopkeepers.
Mandalinci personally examined ongoing issues raised by residents along main streets and side roads, concluding the day with inspections on Neyzen Tevfik Street.
The following day in Umurca, Mayor Mandalinci met with Neighbourhood Head Zeynep Finikelioğlu and local citizens, discussing suggestions and ongoing projects over tea at the local coffeehouse. The mayor also visited local businesses to listen to their feedback firsthand.
“Being in the Field Is the Best Way to Serve”
Mayor Mandalinci emphasised the importance of being in the field and engaging directly with the public, noting that such visits allow the municipality to respond more effectively to residents’ needs.
Mandalinci ended the Umurca programme with a visit to the Parks and Recreation Areas Directorate located in Umurca Park, underlining that neighbourhood visits and direct community interaction will continue regularly across the district.
