EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH CREATIVITY: NEW COURSES AT ÇİFTLİK WOMEN’S LIFE CENTRE

Bodrum Municipality continues to empower women through production-based learning programmes

As part of the joint efforts of the municipality and the Bodrum Public Education Centre (Bodrum Halk Eğitim Merkezi), new courses have begun at the Çiftlik Women’s Life Centre, operated by the Directorate of Women & Family Services.

The initiative aims to support women’s economic and social empowerment through training in traditional crafts and production skills. Registration is now open for crochet and bindallı embroidery courses, both of which are designed to preserve cultural heritage while promoting sustainable livelihoods.

Courses will be held on selected weekdays between 10:00 and 15:30

Director of Women & Family Services Gözde Çakıroğlu highlighted the social value of women’s craftsmanship, stating:

“We value creating an environment where women grow stronger through production and support each other through sharing. With these courses, we not only keep traditional handicrafts alive but also strengthen women’s place in the world of production.”

Those wishing to participate can register via e-yaygin.meb.gov.tr or by calling (0252) 316 10 85.
