BODRUM MUNICIPALITY INTRODUCES NEXT-GENERATION ELECTRIC STREET SWEEPERS
16.09.2025
The new generation sweepers will provide effective cleaning in both urban and narrow public spaces, from streets and pavements to markets and hospitals
Mayor Mandalinci: “With these ergonomic and eco-friendly machines, we will raise the standard of urban cleanliness across Bodrum.”
Bodrum Municipality has added five fully electric, next-generation street sweeping vehicles to its cleaning fleet, marking an important step towards sustainable and environmentally friendly municipal services.
The vehicles were officially introduced at an event in Bodrum’s main square, where Mayor Tamer Mandalincipersonally conducted the first demonstration.
Efficient Cleaning in Every Corner of the City
The new vehicles are designed to be user-friendly, energy-efficient, quiet and powerful, making them suitable for a wide variety of environments. Beyond city streets and industrial zones, they can effectively clean pavements, narrow streets, busy squares, supermarkets, shopping centres, hospitals, depots, factories, small businesses, gardens and stations. This versatility allows the municipality to extend professional cleaning services to areas previously inaccessible to larger sweepers.
Mayor Mandalinci: “A Greener and Cleaner Bodrum”
Mayor Mandalinci highlighted the significance of the investment in improving both environmental sustainability and urban quality of life:
“Today we are proud to present five brand-new, vacuum-based street sweepers that will serve Bodrum with 100% electric power, produced in line with European standards. These vehicles have an operating time of up to eight hours per charge and will deliver quieter, more efficient cleaning in narrow streets, busy areas and across our city.
Thanks to the dedication of our colleagues, Deputy Mayor Tanju Aksu and Head of Senitation Services Serkan Kanik, Bodrum’s streets and squares will benefit from modern, ergonomic and eco-friendly cleaning technology. We shall continue working to ensure that every corner of Bodrum reflects the cleanliness and beauty our city deserves.”
