Women from Çiftlik and Kızılağaç came together at Bodrum Municipality’s Women’s Life Centre for an open-air day of sports and wellbeing


Bodrum Municipality hosted an Open-Air Sports Day at the Çiftlik Women’s Life Centre, bringing together women from the region to encourage healthy living, physical activity and community spirit.

Organised jointly by the Directorate of Women and Family Services and the Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs, the event took place on Thursday 28 August with the participation of Deputy Mayor Kanat Hasan Özsert, Council Member and General Coordinator Emel Çakaloğlu, Council Member İdil Ekmekci, Çiftlik Neighbourhood Headman Hasan Kocaman and sports enthusiasts from Çiftlik and Kızılağaç.

Pilates & Yoga Sessions

The programme began with a pilates session led by Neslihan Çat of the Women and Family Services Directorate, followed by a yoga session delivered by Gizem Melkonyan from the Sports Services Office of the Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs. The event concluded in a lively and uplifting atmosphere.

Expanding Opportunities for Women & Children

As part of an agreement between Bodrum Municipality and the Bodrum Public Education Centre, a series of new courses and training programmes for women and children will soon be launched at the Çiftlik Women’s Life Centre. Announcements and details will be shared on the Municipality’s official website and social media accounts.

Bodrum Municipality reaffirmed its commitment to promoting wellbeing, equality and community participation through initiatives that empower women and support healthy lifestyles.
