In İçmeler, a resident was recorded by concerned citizens dumping an entire truckload of waste around a container site. Following the report, municipal police (zabıta) swiftly arrived on the scene, identified the offender, and compelled them to collect the waste piece by piece. An official report was filed, and the individual was referred to the municipal council for further fines under environmental regulations.

In another case, inspectors examined piles of rubbish left along a roadside in Güvercinlik. Through detailed checks, they identified the bus licence plate and company responsible for the waste and issued fines in line with the Misdemeanours Law.

Bodrum Municipality underlined that its municipal police (zabıta) teams will continue to carry out strict and consistent inspections across the peninsula to safeguard the city’s environment and public order.
