FROM DOORSTEPS TO STREETS – ‘CLEAN WEDNESDAY’ CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED

Bodrum Municipality encourages residents to join a weekly clean-up movement to protect the city’s natural beauty and promote community responsibility.
Bodrum Municipality has launched a citywide clean-up campaign under the slogan “Hand in Hand for a Cleaner Bodrum”, aiming to boost environmental awareness and create a sustainable urban environment.
Led by Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, the initiative encourages residents to clean the areas in front of their homes and along their streets every Wednesday, creating a coordinated weekly effort to keep the city clean.
Collective Effort for a Cleaner Bodrum
The campaign is supported not only by residents but also by municipal staff, with participation encouraged from banks, chain supermarkets and other corporate businesses. By fostering cooperation between individuals, communities, and businesses, the programme aims to strengthen the sense of unity and protect shared public spaces.
Social Media Awareness
To reach a wider audience and increase engagement, Bodrum Municipality will share photos and videos of the clean-up events on its social media channels.
The clean-up initiative will continue every Wednesday across the Bodrum peninsula.
Mayor Mandalinci highlighted the importance of the project:
“Protecting and maintaining our city, our most valuable treasure with its unique nature and countless beauties, is our priority. We work tirelessly to offer a healthy environment for the residents.
