HEAVY FINES IMPOSED IN BODRUM FOR ENVIRONMENTAL VIOLATIONS

Bodrum Municipality continues to enforce strict measures against individuals and businesses that pollute the environment, with surveillance cameras monitoring areas known for persistent issues.

In 2025, coordinated operations by the Directorate of Municipal Police (Zabıta) and the Senitation Services Directorate have resulted in 275 enforcement actions and a total of ₺10,218,000 in administrative fines.

Security cameras installed across various parts of the district have enabled authorities to identify those illegally dumping garden waste, excavation debris and other materials into nature. In addition to routine patrols, officers monitor live camera feeds to detect and act against offenders who harm Bodrum’s urban character and natural beauty.

The Directorate of Municipal Police (zabıta) has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting Bodrum’s environment and ensuring a sustainable urban life, with inspections and enforcement to continue throughout the year.
